Stopped Clock Glass

"A love of colour is what makes experimenting with glass so endlessly satisfying."

Stopped Clock is a glass studio in Nottinghamshire, UK, run by glass artist Emma Mayle.

Emma studied glass at Lincoln University and enjoys playing with light and colour through her work to create vibrant jewellery and contemporary interior pieces.

Workshops are available to book at the studio or on location and can be tailored to suit individual needs and large groups.

Jewellery

The colourful jewellery line features distinctive bar necklaces and drop pendants, chunky rings, elegant bracelets and a variety of earrings suspended by studs, hooks and hoops.

Through multiple stages of cold-working and dual kiln firings the glass edges are refined to produce clean lines and transparent straight edges, allowing the light to transcend through.

All jewellery is guaranteed lead and nickel free and a 925 sterling silver collection is also available. Stopped Clock products are displayed, packaged and posted using locally sourced eco-friendly biodegradable materials.

Glass Art

The interior range is primarily inspired by pattern, particularly that of geometric shapes found in traditional textiles. Products available include plates of various sizes, coasters, tealight holders, wall art and stand-alone sculptural pieces.

Nostalgic character decorations and female portraits with raised texture add an illustrative playfulness to the catalogue. The 3D effect bounces the light and is achieved by constructing the design between separate kiln firings at different temperatures.
